The Belarus-Russian University has concluded the protocol of intentions with the Ural Optical Mechanical Plant (UOMZ) which provides for delivering the precision sine-cosine converters of angular positioning aimed at modernizing the infra-red imagers of the second generation. This development allows for reducing the size of the infra-red imagers 10 times simultaneously raising their sensitivity.
Belarus does not make own arms, but the technologies developed in Belarus are actively used by the leading Russian arms makers. At MILEX-2009 the united stand of the Ministry of Education will display new innovations and scientific developments of dual purpose.

The contact-cooperation exchange to be attended by the businessmen from India and Gomel region will take place in the regional centre on December, 16. It is planned by the program of the second exhibition of Indian goods in Gomel, according to the department of foreign economic relations of the committee on economy of the regional authorities. Representatives of the trade organisations of Gomel region and the heads of the Indian companies which presented their goods at the exhibition will take part in the exchange work. Totally over 70 firms practically from all Indian states participate at the exhibition. Consumers are offered over 1,5 thousand types of goods, mainly hand made, including knitted products and carpets, clothes, furniture, ornaments, souvenirs, textiles.
